Outside of his physical statistics I want you to consider another one that is far more impressive. Every year 100,000 high school seniors will play football for various schools throughout the nation yet statistically only 0.2% or 215 will earn a spot playing for a professional team in the NFL! I wonder what the percentage would be for two boys in the same family both making it to the NFL?
When Tim Hasselbeck started his career he was probably a high school stand out like many of the other students in your hometown but what made him part of the 0.2% crowd? What made him break out of the local papers into a national scale with the Arizona Cardinals? How did he, along with the other athletes, succeed where many others failed? Was their success due to just raw talent? For some I would agree and say yes. But, what I believe is that they had a dream, and they worked and thought their way into the National Football League.
Sounds pretty stupid, doesn’t it? But, the more that I speak to audiences throughout the country and the more that I study the patterns of success I realize that people get what they believe, not what they want. What do you believe about you and your future? What do you believe about your dreams? Are you doing for a living what you really want to do? If not, why are you not pursuing your passion?
