What to write in funeral cards? What do you write when you have a friend or loved one who has suffered from such a devastating loss? Stay away from sayings such as, “I know how you feel, I felt the same way when,” or the worst, “the good Lord giveth and the good Lord taketh away”, only express your sympathy and let them know in the most loving way that you will actively support them through their time of grieving.
