What you do at a job interview is not nearly as important as how you do it. When going into a job interview always over dress. If you are interviewing for a cashier position still dress like they are hiring you for the CEO position. When you walk into the office or meet the individual who is interviewing you shake his or her hand, look them in the eyes and clearly speak your greetings and name. Then once introduced hand them your professional resume, you can get the formatting through Monster.com or Google, and print that resume on thick professional paper, that you can get at Kinko’s.
When you sit, stand, etc make sure that you have great posture. Good posture exudes confidence, which means a higher salary. When the manager is interviewing you and when appropriate ask him or her questions about how they got started in the business and then keep asking the manager questions about themselves. People love to talk about them and the more you let he or she talk about their experiences in the company the more they will like you.
I have been to a lot of job interviews that I was not qualified for however, I got the job by using these principles. People do not hire those who are qualified, they hire who they like, try these tactics and you will discover what I mean. Good luck!
