“What can I do to lose weight for free,” is a common question that people are facing today resulting from the economy. Though this will not cost you financially, it will cost your effort. As we all learned in high school economics there is no such thing as a free lunch.
Here are three steps to losing weight while on a budget:
- Eat Healthier – Don’t kind yourself at the core of any weight lose system is a healthy diet. However, that does not mean that you have to do a crash course. Cut out one bad thing every one or two weeks. Start small and then work your way up to the harder stuff. If you only eat doughnuts or French fries once in a while cut them out first to build up your momentum and tackle the BIG ones. (Oh, how I love sugar!)
- Take a Walk – After work or before you go into the job take some time to go on a brisk walk. Doing so will get your metabolism working, the blood pumping and will really get you ready for the day or help you to unwind from it. Either way walking will help you shed those unwanted calories.
- Push-ups and Sit-ups – While you are watching television at night crawl down onto the floor and during commercials alternate between sets of push-ups and sit-ups. Herschel Walker did this all through his high school and college football career and is rumored not to have really lifted weights until the pros.
