The Strangest Strategy to Unlocking Great Wealth

mansions The Strangest Strategy to Unlocking Great Wealth

We have all been to church on Sunday morning when the pastor stands up to encourage his or her congregation to give. You have heard all the scripture verses that revolve around the offering, “Give and it shall be given unto you…” “Beloved I wish above all things that though shall prosper…” and “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.” These are a couple of the verses that are religiously used to encourage church goers to give but where is the blessing that has been promised by the pastor and through scripture?

Visualize in your mind everyone in your church who is wealthy. Though you do not know their financial stability they have some fruit on their tree that shows that they are not the average American family. Now think to yourself about all of those who tithe, faithful church goers, and those who live right spiritually and ask yourself why is the multitude not getting financially blessed if giving your tithe is the way to financial prosperity?

Why Is God Not Blessing Your Finances

Why are you not experiencing the increase even though you give? Why do not receive the promotion or your breakthrough even though you are living right? Sure some people will say, “God has blessed you in your family, health and with a right mind.” But is that enough to pay your electric bill and car note? Blessing me in my health when I am sick is great, but blessing me in my health when I am praying for my bills to be paid just doesn’t make sense.
So am I saying that the Scriptures that you read and the pastors that you listen to on a weekly basis wrong? No. Am I saying that you should not tithe? No. I am suggesting that tithing is a part but not the whole equation. God has always been more concerned about your heart and motive than your sacrifice. This is why He told Saul, Israel’s first king, that obedience is better than sacrifice. When you love someone you willingly give to them but just because you give to them does not mean that you love them. This is best demonstrated at Christmas time when you have given presents you people that you don’t even like but you feel bad because you know that they are going to get you something so you feel like you have got to return the favor. But true obedience comes from the heart.

When the offering plate comes around and you pay your tithes or throw in an extra $5 what is your heart’s condition? Do you think, “Bill paid?” Or do you give out of a sincerely desire to please God? Most people will say, “I give because I want to please God.” If this is true ask yourself does God only want you to give on Sunday? If the answer is no then when else do you give? Do you give outside of church when no one else is looking? Do you willingly give rides to the carless? And ear to listen? Or your labor to someone who needs help moving? Are you looking for opportunities to give to people? I know that I was not and this past Sunday I was made aware of my selfish tendencies in the area of giving. This past Sunday my girlfriend and I decided to visit a church called, Victory World Church in Atlanta and Pastor Dennis Rouse was preaching a sermon titled, “Vision For Your Financial Life.”

One of his points was that we were made to be a river not a reservoir, meaning that money should flow through you not stop with you. Does this mean that you should not generate a savings and have investments? No, that would not be wise. But you should not be the only person that you think about when it comes to what you do with your money. According to Pastor Dennis there are 4 levels where people live concerning money:

4 Levels Where People Live Concerning Money

  1. Living for the Past ~ Paying Debts
  2. Living for the Present ~ Spending Money
  3. Living for the Future ~ Saving/Investing Money
  4. Living for Eternity ~ Giving Money

Let’s just say that, “Living for Eternity,” was not on my priority list. Proverbs 11:24 says, “One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.” I have come to believe that God gives more to those who practice a lifestyle of giving. God has created a spiritual system where He needs men and women to operate through in order to establish His purpose on earth. Money is the medium of exchange that is required to get most anything accomplished in this earthly system. With this in mind, if you were God and you needed to trust someone with a lot of money to accomplish your purpose then who would you trust with that money? The person who was already using his or her money or resources to accomplish your purpose, right? As a parent if your child is not responsible with $10 would you give them $100? Do you think that God operates differently?

From the Law of Attraction point of view when you give money you are telling the universe, i.e. God, that you believe that more money is on the way. So as you give you are feeding your subconscious with the belief that you are wealthy enough to give therefore you attract more wealth that will make you wealthier. However, if you give with a bad attitude and grudgingly then you are telling your subconscious mind that you cannot afford to give therefore you are attracting lack into your life. God understands that Law of Attraction for that is why the Bible says, “That God loves a cheerful giver.” Or another way of saying this verse is that God can demonstrate His love on a cheerful giver.

God created the wealth that everyone seeks. He created the real estate, gold, silver, diamonds, oil and all the other natural resources that we deem valuable. He created these precious valuables and then gave them to us to find, develop, use and sell. Think about that for one moment, God created all the wealth of the world and then just left it in the ground as a gift for you and I. If He gave so liberally to you before you or I even existed why would He withhold the blessings that you now seek. To unlock the wealth that you seek you must do 3 things:

3 Steps to Unlock Wealth

  1. Know your purpose – God created you for a purpose and when you find and operate in that purpose you will experience heaven opening up the doors of opportunity for you.
  2. Give your purpose – Freely you received your purpose therefore freely (give) serve other people with that purpose. Albert Einstein said, “Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value.”
  3. Expect and accept your reward – Expect that God will bless you for your gifts and accept the reward for your service as the money, contacts and connections begin to come into your life.

Remember that as you pursue success within your purpose that, “It takes 15 years to become an overnight success.” (Unknown) God will do things for you suddenly but that is usually after you have been paying the price for a while. However, when His payoff comes the reward will far outweigh the emotional and material cost that you fronted.
