Many strong personalities and highly detailed types schedule, plan and work themselves like robots, not factoring in things such as recreation, emotion and relationships. When planning our day and working your plan give yourself room to be human. Allow for things like being tired, a coffee break or lunch. To be truthful this area of time management is something that I am still working towards perfecting.
As I schedule my day I plan to write for like 3 hours after work, the gym, studying marketing, reading personal development books, praying and the list continues depending on the day. I mean when I am planning my day I don’t even allow time for breakfast (I eat while I am working) or downtime or girlfriend time. Obviously that is not the balanced way to go about planning your day. You need time to relax. The Apostle John once said when asked why he was playing with a dog instead of studying and praying, “A bow that is always strung loses its strength.”
If all you do is work, moving from this project to that, you do not give yourself time for fresh ideas. Working hard is only one part of the equation of success. Working smart is far more important. Also, if you don’t factor in you time, you will soon burnout. And a smoldering fire has never attracted much attention or in this case much business.
