Starting life in the New Year

goals, goal setting, motivation, success

Start living your life this New Year! Think of all the years that have come and gone, the goals that you made and possibly did not keep. Think of the opportunities that you may have missed, the weight that you could have lost, the love that you may have kept and then vow to yourself that this year is going to be the year that I start living!

How do you do that especially when so many New Year resolutions have been made and then forgotten? Write them down. A study done at Harvard showed that 5% of people write down their goals. A separate study done showed that roughly 5% of the people in America control 95% of the wealth. Do you think that there is a correlation?

Anyone can say, “I am going to _____.” However, when you write down your thoughts you are forced to be clear, concise, and consequently that you hold in your hand will keep you accountable throughout the New Year. Then post your goals where you will have the opportunity to see them on a daily basis. This will keep you commitment at the forefront of your mind. The process takes more effort but there is never any traffic jams and always more rewards in the extra mile.
