The meaning of life and living with purpose is best described through animals. When I look at animals that are around me I notice one thing… their design points to their purpose. A bull naturally does what his body is designed to do. You do not see a bull trying to frolic like a deer. Nor do you see a bull trying to climb a tree like a monkey. And you know what? The bull is ok with that. He does not make excuses for the way his is, he just…is. A bull does not get offended when someone says the expression, “That boy is like a bull in a china shop.” Nor does he blush, and wish that he were a cat so that people would not look at him that way. And then resulting from his insecurity makes an excuse such as, “Well last time I was in there…He would just stand there and nod and say if I ever got in the china shop again I would wreck it just the same or maybe even more. Animals act on instinct not reason, therefore, they cannot sit back and analyze their emotions and say why did I respond that way, what did they mean when they said that about me? Maybe I am not as good as the cat? Reason is the one thing that differentiates humans from the animals and reason is what makes us superior to them. However, our reasoning capacity can and often is swayed by things such as peer pressure, influence of society, insecurity, etc.
There are no bad bulls. People do not say, “Twinkles is so bad at being a cat.” The reason why people cannot say that about animals is because animals, though they are not good at everything, are good at being the animal they were designed to be. Therefore, be an animal! Be who you were created to be and use the gifts that you were designed to use, then will you experience the success, joy and fulfillment that comes from operating in the gifts that you have been given.
