When entrepreneurs come to me for help regarding their website, or business marketing they are wanting a quick fix, an immediate turn around in their business and especially their bank accounts. And sometimes that can happen. Subtle changes can be made in your marketing plan that will enable 100′s and sometimes even 100o’s of people to learn about your business. However, in most cases the financial rewards occur gradually over time just like an solid investment would.
However, most people do not chase solid investments they chase microwave results. Millions of people are playing the lottery, penny stocks and chasing “the next big payout,” when realistically if they just would manage their money properly and make good solid investments they would get to where they wanted to go a whole lot faster. How do I know?…I made the same mistakes and have to tell myself to stop when I still want to make the same mistakes (hey, I am only human).
Think about this…nothing worth while happens overnight. If you workout you do not wake up the next day and look like Arnold, if you save $10 you do not wake up the next morning will the wealth of Bill Gates, if you get a girls phone number you do not wake up the next morning married (thank God) and so with marketing if you run one advertisement you will not see 1000′s of new customers the next day. And be glad! Why? because you would not have the staff or processes in place to handle all of your new business.
Invest into your marketing plan. Then put a tracking system in place and watch where the return on your investment comes from. Next, simply invest more money into the advertising strategies that are bringing you business and stop investing in the ones that are not. Simply enough?
