I do not think that their is a man or woman out there who has not been hurt by a member of the opposite sex. That is why the song was written, why the song is being sung and why the lyrics are popular. But, let me stick up for some of the good guys that are still out there and say that these words do not represent the entire male population.
If I may be so bold allow me to also say that though this song might prove true for some of the men that you have dated, you picked them. Ouch. I know but bear with me. There was a girl who came up to me the other day and said, “Steven why can I not find a good man? My last three boyfriends were all jerks.”
I asked the seemingly obvious question, “Where did you find your last three boyfriends?”
To which she responded that she had meet them in various clubs. Now ladies please do not expect to find a high quality, faithful man, with good Christian values in a club on Saturday night. Men do not go to clubs to dance, nor do they go to hang out with their friends. They go there to meet girls like you and more often than not with the motive of getting lucky.
So the next time you here Beyonce or Sasha (her stage name) song think about my words in relation to your experience and then please do not make the same mistake. Good men are found doing good things. Actually, if you really want to find a great man you will let him find you. Love ya ladies.
