how to trust your gut

trust1 how to trust your gut

How do you trust your gut? I have had many experiences in the past where I have trusted my gut and when I have went against that gut feeling. Without fail when I have trusted my gut, less drama happened in my life, however, when I went against that feeling not only did things go poorly but I thought to myself, “Something told me not to do that.”

What is that gut feeling? Personally, I believe that the gut feeling is God trying to nudge you in the right direction to keep you from harm. Why do I believe that it is the Almighty?

3 reasons:

  1. Everyone has the gut feeling ~ God is no respecter of persons
  2. The gut feeling when followed turns out for your good ~ God is a good Father who wants the best for His children
  3. The gut feeling sees the hidden danger or opportunity in any circumstance ~ God knows things that we never could.

I don’t know about you but whenever I have chosen poorly I have not taken the time to listen to that gut feeling. I felt like I had to act right then, or I was so caught up in the emotion of the opportunity that I didn’t even bother to listen to what my gut was saying. Therefore, when you have faced with a decision whether big or small listen to what direction God is leading you and I promise, though it may be harder in the beginning, it will turn out for the better in the end.
