There is a part of every human being that just wants more. There are individuals who want more money, want to lose more weight, have more free time, more love in their life and more of this thing more of that. So how to we try to get more? Usually, by giving less. When we want more love we step back in rejection to see if people will come and love us. When we want more money on our job we usually slack off saying they do not pay me enough to do that. We talk about losing weight while eating desert and talk about wanting more free time while wasting the little bit of time that we do have by complaining about our lack of time.
In short we are trying to get more by offering less. When in reality you can never obtain more by giving less. The law is you shall reap what you sow and the harvest is always greater than the seed sown. However, you still have to sow and sowing takes effort. Often we get discouraged when we sow on Monday and the harvest does not come on Wednesday. We understand how this works in the natural but fail to recognize how the principle works in the spiritual. When a child plants a seed in the ground, then is disappointed that the seed has not harvested a couple of hours later we laugh and tell the child, “Relax, it is a process.” Yet, we pray, meditate, believe and then get up go and look at our circumstances expecting some kind of change and then become equally as discouraged as the child thinking will my situation ever turn around?
In truth your situation and circumstances began to change the moment that you believe however, you dilute your faith with doubt when you look to soon. After you believe for something to change do not look for evidence until the evidence no longer matters to you. In other words do not look for evidence as confirmation that your faith has changed your surroundings rather look for the evidence to see if the manifestation has arrived.
You may say, “What is the difference? Aren’t you saying the same thing?”
Allow me to explain this principle with an illustration. When you know that you are going to receive a package and you look inside the mailbox you do not get discouraged if you do not see the package on the first day. You do not say to yourself, “Well, I guess the thing just is not going to show up.” No, you would say, “Well, the package did not arrive today but it will probably be here tomorrow.” Such should be our attitude when we are looking for the things we believe to come to pass. Check to see if the manifestation has arrived today, not if your faith worked today.
For your faith did work and is still working. God has given you the ability to change your surroundings through your belief. What are you believing to happen in your life? Do you want to take a trip that you cannot afford? Then pack your bags and set them by the door so you see your suitcases every morning. Do you want a promotion on your job? Then work the hours and work as much as you can in the areas of your new title. Are you believing for a spouse or your spouse to come back? Then make dinner for two every night and act as though that person is already in your life.
When action meets belief the invisible becomes visible. I cannot wait to hear how your invisible dreams became visible realities.
