How to Get More Followers on Twitter in Your Niche

Regardless if you are marketing on Twitter or purchasing billboard space on a highway you want to make sure that your marketing dollars and efforts are being spent on your demographic. Having 100,000 Twitter followers will look great on a brag card but really will do you no good if these followers are NOT in your demographic.

I have been testing out a tool over the past couple of weeks that has enabled me to find Twitter followers within my demographic to the tune of about 100 at a time. The site? FlashTweet. With Flashtweet and I can schedule my tweets (no I don’t spend all day on Twitter) and I can feed my blog onto Twitter.  Above is what you dash board looks like.

It is really simple to use.

Really, you can schedule your Tweets and feed your RSS into Twitter through other sites for free so that was not much of a benefit to me. But, what I did like about Flash Tweet is that you can type in a keyword that is associated with your business, hit find, then mass follow. Instantly, you are following 100 people.

Following People Increases Your Followers

You want to follow people because that is how you gain followers. To make your numbers increase follow people that will automatically follow you back. The process is simple but Flash Tweet makes is simpler. Anyways if you are interested in signing up for Flash Tweet you get 14 days for free and then if you stay on it will cost an in your face $6.95 per month. Heck, even if you are not interested check out the free trial and increase your Twitter followers to 1,000. That’s my mindset. Mama told me to never turn down a free lunch.

Final Twitter Tip

Remember though you can only follow about 1,000 people per day until Twitter starts to cut you off. Also, don’t just follow all day long because if you do Twitter will ban you because you will look like a spammer. Take part in the community. Respond to quotes, comments and talk about off the wall stuff. It’s fun and will drive thousands of visitors to your site every month.
