Guidelines to Dating Miss Georgia

Recently I have been blogging about my girlfriend’s successes as Miss Georgia. First most of the individuals that I have been in contact with since starting this blog did not know that I was dating Miss Georgia and secondly did not know that Chasity Hardman was running for Miss America. So with their newfound knowledge the men have been asking me how did you get to date Miss Georgia? Though I am still not sure how to take their question ☺ I decided to put together some of my guidelines for dating not just Miss Georgia but any beautiful girl that you have your eye on. Oh and I may be in the dog house for this post so I hope that you enjoy the information. (ha ha)

  1. Be shooting for more than a girlfriend – Women with goals are not attracted to men who don’t have them. Pursue your career and dreams first and when God feels the timing is right He will send your helpmate. God did not create Eve until Adam was working in his purpose.
  2. Treat her like Miss America – When Chasity and I met she was Miss Columbus but from day one I called her Miss America. Men have the ability to create their girlfriend or wife. How? No one hangs out with your girlfriend more than you therefore you create her environment and regardless of who you are you will become your environment. So, whatever you speak and believe about her she will gravitate towards. If you concentrate on her negatives, and all girls and guys have them, then her negatives will expand. Make her feel like she is the number one person in your life, like she is Miss America and then she will be. I have convinced her and me that I am the luckiest man on the planet and every so often she will remind me. ☺
  3. Chivalry is not dead – I get aggravated when men are out with their girlfriend or wife and they are walking a mile ahead of the woman, not opening car doors or pulling out chairs. Women still want to be treated like a princess. The proof is have you ever heard a woman complain, “Oh, my gosh and then he opened the car door for me and paid for the meal. He is such a jerk.”
  4. Security equals security – If you are insecure in the relationship you will never be able to keep the woman unless she also is insecure. Insecurity will cause you to try and control or manipulate your girlfriend so that you will not loose her. Yet, when you are acting from this insecurity you are not acting from love and eventually you will lose her. Jealousy and love are like water and oil they don’t mix.
  5. Listen – Listening is a lost art. Listen to her needs without thinking of yours. If she wants you to do something for her she should not have to keep on reminding you.

In summary prefer her above yourself. This does not mean that you are weak or a doormat rather preferring someone to yourself takes the greatest kind of strength. You still are the protector and leader of the relationship and you still should communicate your personal needs and wants but when you love her first she will honor you and things will go really, really well.

Even though things will go well sometimes relationships end.  This not a negative statement but more just a fact of life. However, if you have treated her as the apple of your eye and tried to show her that love in a way that is unique to you then if the relationship does not go the way that you have planned then you go your separate way with your head held high because you have set the standard for the next man who enters her life.
