good customer service

customer care good customer service

Outside of managing your money good customer service is single most important aspect of doing business.

“Well, if this is so why do so many companies and managers not place emphasis on this aspect?”

Good customer service is neglected because the payout is not immediate. If you run a great marketing campaign you can see results in the revenue stream almost immediately, develop a new product or put a hot item on the shelf and the traffic flow through your business will increase sometimes overnight but customer service takes some time to see a return. But, remember this principle if your business grows overnight it can die overnight. Anything that sprouts up quickly will disappear just as quickly such as: muscle from muscle enhancers, lottery winners, money from an inheritance and weed in a garden.

Building solid customer service is like a oak tree that is taking root and once grounded is not easily removed and even if cut down will grow back. When customers are treated fairly they will come back. No the customer is not always right but they do deserve to be treated with respect. Great customer care representatives will do more for your revenue stream than any great marketing campaign because as any marketing guru will tell you the best form of advertisement is word of mouth and people will talk about their great experiences with a company.

If I am going to eat fast food now I am going to Chic Fil A. Every time I go there, though it is ran by high school students just like McDonalds or Wendy’s, they always have a smile on their face and make me feel good about eating their waffle fries and chicken sandwich. Visit companies such as Chic Fil A, Apple and Starbucks and watch how they treat their customers, get some ideas and then piggyback on their methods. They have spent millions of dollars in marketing research finding out what works and what people like. You can get a million dollar education for under $5 dollars, a pen and some paper. Good customer service makes all the difference in the world and can make all of the financial difference in your organization.
