My favorite story about the success of goal setting is found in a Harvard Study that was published inside of Chicken Soup for the College Soul. The study stated that a graduating class of Harvard was surveyed and found out that 90% of them did not have a specific goal that they were shooting for. 5% had a firm idea but had not written that desire down. Yet, another 5% had specific goals, written down with dates attached to them. 20 years later that same class was resurveyed and the results showed that the combined net worth of the 5% who had specific, written goals was greater than the combined net worth of the 95% who did not write their goals. Leave a comment to help other readers by giving an example of when you set a goal and accomplished your desire.
