getting over relationship rejection

a8 getting over relationship rejection

Lets face the facts getting over relationship rejection is not the easiest of processes. There are times when you think, “I am losing it. I really feel like I am going out of my mind.” However, you have to remember that your worth is not tied up in what another individual feels about you. When we place too much stock in what others think that we should be doing or how we should be doing it we give them power over our life.

If someone says that you are beautiful does that make you so? If another declares you an idiot does that make you incompetent? Of course not. The comments that affect you the most are ones that play on your insecurities. If someone says that you have jacked up teeth and you believe that then the pain intensifies.

“Great, but how do I move on,” you might ask.

You have to begin by creating a definition of who you are. Who do you believe you are and who do you want to be? Once developed, reaffirm that definition to yourself and keep doing so until the definition becomes your belief. Then do not accept others appraisal of you, whether they pay you compliment or criticism. Either way their opinion does not matter, only what you think matters. What are you thinking about yourself?
