What strategy do you use to turn your thoughts into reality in goal setting? First, get into a quiet place by removing all distractions. Pull out a piece of paper and a pen then write your desires (How much money do you want to make, what car do you want to drive, what weight do you want to be?). Make sure those desires are specific and clearly defined so you know what you are shooting for and so you will know when you have accomplished that goal.
Set a date to when you want to achieve that desire. Then double the time frame that you originally set. Why? More often than not we are overly optimistic about our abilities and we tend to portray a beautiful yet warped sense of reality. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time…but not in one setting.
Then put together a daily action plan that will lead you to your goal. Once the action step is formed, forget your goal and then just take the steps that you have laid out. A goal is a reference point, not a mile marker so that your progress does not discourage you.
