1. Get Involved in Pageants – In the Miss America and Miss USA systems girls and their parents willingly shell out thousands of dollars every year for their girls to compete in local and state pageants. But positioning yourself as a sponsor you can get your name out to a lot of girls really fast. Offer to be the personal trainer for the winner of the pageant. 2. Wii Fit – offer personal training services to overweight kids through the creative usage of video games. Jump on the bandwagon of Wii fit.
3. Trade Out – Use the barter system to trade out personal training for advertising in local dry cleaners or other spots that your demographic are spending money. Why the dry cleaners? Have them place a piece of paper around a hanger to all of their customers, i.e. those who wear suits and who typically make more money then you can get your gym’s name out.
Bonus: Look the Freakin Part – Please do not offer to help me get in shape when you are out of shape. You are your product. If you do not subscribe to your own fitness advise do not expect me to. And do not give me the excuse about an injury, being pregnant or anything else. Unless you were injured or pregnant for several years and could not work out. And if that is the case…workout, lose the pounds and then promote yourself as a personal trainer who owns a personal training studio.
