“Follow your passions like a rabid dog.” I read this quote on John Chow’s Blog the other day and I laughed out loud. Now here it is 3 days later and I am still thinking about the quote and the principle that will lead you to a successful life. Pursue passion and let nothing deter you. Go after what you want without thought or regard to how others might react or what they might say. You were destined for high flight. You were created to live on the tops of mountains so climb baby climb that latter of success and follow your passions like a rabid dog!
Here is a story that exemplifies that I am talking about.
“A college Board of Directors was an elderly man whose back was badly hunched. Seeing the young man’s perplexed face the president told his story.
When I was a young man, I played the piano professionally with great love. Then I suffered an accident, which broke my back. The doctors gave me a choice. I could have my back set permanently straight like everybody else, but I would never again play the piano. Or, I could have my back set hunched over, allowing me to play but never again stand up. I chose the piano.”
