a11 disadvantages of overworking

Here are some disadvantages of overworking.

Lose Touch with Family – If you are out of the house and always on the job who is raising your children? I think one of the reasons this world is so dangerous and that the jails are so full is due to the fact that children have been left without the guidance of caring adults.
Estranged Spouse – If you are working 50 to 60 hours per week in one direction and your spouse is doing the same in the other direction if you are not careful you two will turn into roommates real easy.

Spiritual Life is out of Balance – We are spiritual beings having a human experience. But, when we neglect the spirit we lose track of our real self.

Stress – When you are constantly working stress is built up causing outburst against loved ones, sleep deprivation, gray hair, weight gain and the worst of all…wrinkles.

Skills Lose Their Effectiveness – I did not say you would lose the skill only the full impact of your efforts. On his way into town an older man walked by a villager who was vigorously sawing a large oak tree. Several hours had past and upon his return he noticed the man was still sawing the tree? The old man yelled out, “Your saw is dull and needs to be sharpened.” The villager responded, “I do not have time to sharpen my saw I have to get this tree cut down.” Taking time to sharpen your saw will enable you to get more done in less time.
