There are 5 keys to developing a successful church marketing plan:
- Who is the demographic that you are trying to reach? Know specifically what age, race, income range that you are trying to reach.
- Do not put the pastors face on the billboard, flyers etc. People will assume that whatever race your pastor is the only race that attends that church.
- Radio and television are the worst way to advertise a new business/church. There is no staying power. If a listener or watcher misses the 15-second commercial then the commercial is missed. However, when you put something in print they have several chances to see the same message.
- Track your progress. If there is no way to track your success you do not know what is working and you are wasting money.
- Have a first impressions ministry that gathers information on the visitors that come to your church. Throughout the lifetime of your ministry you will have had several churches worth of visitors walk in and out of your doors.
