I am just getting back into Georgia from Las Vegas and I wanted to write a quick post to thank you all for the love and support that you showed Chasity Hardman, Miss Georgia 2008, as she pursued the Miss America title. Though the outcome was not what we desired, we are very proud of the fact that our Miss Georgia got first runner up to the Miss America title. Not to mention $27,000 in scholarship money and the opportunity to perform her talent (which by the way was amazing) in front of millions of viewers throughout the world!

Former Miss Indiana and the newly titled Miss America 2009, Katie Stam, is the first Miss America to come from the state of Indiana. Since Katie Stam and Chasity Hardman were roommates during the reality television show on TLC, “Countdown to the Crown,” Chasity had the opportunity to get to know her and had nothing but good things to say about the newly crowned Miss America.
Again thank you for all the support via emails, facebook comments, twitter responses and texts. Below you can listen and kind of see her talent and yes the reason why the camera is shaking is because I was nervous. So that is the reason why the picture is not the greatest, but you can still hear the quality of her voice and get an understanding of why she won the Preliminary Talent Award.
