Men we need some help so I thought that I would put together 8 tips on how to get and keep a girlfriend. Being raised with 5 sisters and no brothers I got an education, but do I always get it right? Of course not but here are 8 pointers that will help you have more success with women and not be labeled as “that guy.”
- Chivalry is not dead – If it has a hinged open it for her. My biggest pet peeve is seeing men let their woman get their own door. If you want extra bonus points pull out her chair.
- I am sorry – No one ever gets it right 100% of the time. A simple yet sincere, “I’m sorry,” can heal a wound.
- Listen – When she speaks listen to her needs and then respond. “I am not her servant,” you might reply but I would argue that you are. Not in the bellboy sort of way, but out of honor for the beauty that is in your life.
- Compliment – There is power in your words and with them you create the type of woman you are dating or who you have married. If you concentrate on her negatives then you will create within her more negative. But, if you concentrate on what attracted you to her in the first place and then you will create more of those strong attributes.
- Don’t always try to get some – Single guys, it does not work like it does in the movie. Do not go to a club, flash your money, buy some drinks and then expect to get some, or find the girl of your dreams. Women of quality do not participate in casual flings and are not impressed by your “game.” Married men, be romantic to show her that you love her for her, not just to butter her up for sex.
- Yelling out the car – Are you serious? Is this the best way that you can think of to get a woman? And have you always noticed it is not the guy even driving the car? Sadly, though ladies I have seen some of you actually go over to the car after someone has yelled in your direction. Words of advice…keep on walking because you are not missing out on anything.
- Surprise! – If you want to blow your girl away surprise her with a flower on Tuesday, plan a picnic on a Monday, or something that spontaneously shows her how much you love her.
- Be patient – If you are a man you are going to wait on a woman. There is a country song that is on the top of the charts right now that is titled, “Waiting on a Woman,” and the reason for its popularity is due to the fact that all men can identify with having to wait on a woman.
In summary, every woman wants to be the princess in the castle who is rescued from life, as she knows it, swept off of her feet by prince charming, and then caught up into an adventure. Do not make the woman your life pursuit, but have goals dreams and ambitions of your own and then make her partner as you both journey towards accomplishment.
