I have read several articles on how to lose weight and most of them frustrate me. Why? The are complicated and generally are geared towards one type of lifestyle or body type. So I decided to put together these 5 methods to help you lose weight fast.

  1. Connect with a Skinny Person – Do you have a friend who weighs less than you do? Then hang out with them and only eat when they eat, and then try to eat similar things. Sure, genetics plays a part in being overweight but, good habits will override your genes.
  2. Exercise – Want to see the weight fly off? Go for a walk, go to the weight room or get a sporting hobby. Remember, do not overdo your exercise right away. Take baby steps.
  3. Use Common Sense – If you eat a lot of carbs late at night you will gain weight. If you eat tons of sugar, sweets, and constantly drink coffee that tastes like a doughnut you will gain weight. Eat sweets, fast food, and junk food in moderation.
  4. Eat Less – Do not starve yourself but do not feel like you can never be hungry either. If you are overweight you body is use to getting feed what it wants, when it wants. You have to reprogram your belly to get in tune with your new skinny self.
  5. Think Differently – Do things that tell yourself that you are beautiful. Go to the spa, keep your nails and toes done. Make some goals but again do not over do it. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. When you think different, you will act different which means you will lose weight.

Bonus: Give yourself 60 to 90 days of activity and then re-evaluate. You did not gain the weight overnight and you will not lose the weight overnight.
